Back on the public ridge. Yesterday morning my bow rope was laying on the ground. This morning it’s pulled up to the stand. I left at dark last night. Our property is at the end of the road. The public starts beyond us. It’s a long ways for anyone to hike without parking at our place. I think Sasquatch is messing with me.

I don’t think it’s a person. I don’t think anyone has been out this ridge. Especially after dark last night. The rope was caught in the bark on the opposite side of tree from the sticks. Most likely a critter. If it’s a person I will have them on cam or the cam will be gone.
My traditional hot spot is really cold so far.

Been out three times. Each time the hunt has been better. Still haven’t saw a deer yet

Did have my target buck with in 100 yards of me . Never saw it but trail cam did.

Just playing cat and mouse right now. His time is coming tho.

Worked the first day of season he was where I woulda been. Isn’t that how it goes tho. Will try tonight.

I’m trying it agin switched places/chairs… Maybe it will happen maybe not..
Season looks promising Doe count around here finally rebounded . Took a few years for that. Was really bad for a long while. Hopefully they don’t get slaughtered this year.

It’s been about 6 years now there was a bunch of logging that took place around the area that was much needed

Seeing a lot of new bucks and more bucks this year finally as well. I got more on cam this year already than probably the last 5 years. More excited to see what actually sticks around. Usually after about October 19 ya can sorta tell what’s what.
Don’t wanna jinx I suppose about seeing more bucks this year.

This hunt is already successful because I ate a big ass prime rib dinner before I came. So honestly I’m surprised I made it.

Was covered up all night passed a mid 120s 8 at 30 yards and 3 smaller bucks. Had 13 does in the beans at one time. The field will prolly be picked real soon so I'd say that will slow the action down.

Had tension on the trigger multiple times. Old girl in the middle has blown at us 100 times. Several tense stare downs, but the other 2 kept her alive as one was always behind her. She done pissed Kaydence off, so the death sentence has been levied.
