Thank you! They are a beautiful bird and a very fun hunt!
I needed out of the house and the wind kicked just enough from the W for me to risk it. Seen one doe so far and got the blind all adjusted to my liking. Thursday and Friday will be the days to get it done. Just here for fun tonight.
No deer were harmed in the drinking of those 2 beers. Lots of squirrels seen though. Several servings of biscuits and gravy waiting on me.

Back at it. Seen one so far, turned blew and jumped. So not great. No idea if she caught wind or just didn’t like something. We’ll see what happens.
I called my shot on Sunday, we'll see if it bites me in the ass. He was last here at 1:15A, which is good. I was able to swing by the house between meetings and dump corn at 1P, which was perfect timing. Was supposed to be sunny and 50, it's overcast and 45 with the perfect crosswind speed-wise, and directionally. We both have everything in our favor with one exception, he thinks this blind is safe.

That's why it's hunting and not killing. He didn't get the memo. Did get to watch the most cautious spike of all time. He'll be damn near unkillable with age if that's how he's really wired. Was on the corn for 60 seconds, then saw something he didn't like, so he moved over to the brush and stood there for an hour before he was comfortable coming back in and by then, it was dark enough I wouldn't have shot anyways due to him blending into the background. Was impressive to see.
