Had a sore muscle between my neck, shoulder blade, and spine. Sort of been working thru it. Must've tweaked it climbing in. Got to be an acrobat to climb in this one. I'm struggling to sit or find a sitting position where it isn't painful. I have a good pain threshold and I am nearing a 7. I am where I need to be if the big boy repeats what he did last night. I need to suck it up for a little over two hours. Then figure out how to climb down. I will do it but it isn't going to be fun. This is miserable right now. Weather is great though. Good luck to everyone out.

Made a compromise with myself. Didn't want to shoot him with a gun over corn, but since the guns loaded, might as well get your monies worth. So I'm set up 150 yards away hunting his suspected travel route to the bait. Terribly unpredictable wind and a light sprinkle. Expectations are low, but it's good to be outside.

Just waiting on them so I can go home.

My much truer problem is that more are just showing up, geez. I think its up to a dozen within 70yrds now, and who knows how many I might run into trying to get to my pickup.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and make an executive call in about a minute.

The heck with them, I'm leaving
😅

I blew it. He was bedded where I thought and used the trail I was ready to shoot and I flat whiffed. He was moving quickly and I got him stopped slightly quartering to at 50 yards and absolutely jerked the trigger and missed him to the right. Freaking humbled right now. He looks incredible in person. Now I have to hope he sticks around, but I'm afraid I blew it for the year.
