I'm good with ending the season with a buddy hunt last weekend. I'm not gonna find one out this evening and end with a bad taste. Thus season is in the books for me and I never had a deer with antlers in range. One of, if not the worst season of my life. Not much fun had. Lots of struggles, battles and just plain miserable at times. Next year will be a chance with lots of room for improvement. So I'm already looking forward to it.

Next season if ur in need or board and ur place hasnt recovered hunt up here. We have too many deer for farmers not to bitch. I can guide early season ground hunting.

I appreciate the offer. But we didn't kill anything so our herd should double. We won't have the number Phil does for a few years, but we should be able to take a couple next year. 👍🏾

Wasn't going to buy a tag to sit the last sit. Thought about heading out without a weapon to enjoy it. Decided against it because that would have guaranteed a shooter to show up. 😁 Got some work done around the house.

@giles I am probably an hour away from him. I did see a solid recovery though. Still many itty bitty sized deer. One segment of them just a touch larger than the spring batch of fawns. Next fall will be year three and I expect it to be closer to what I feel was our "normal." I did change my mind and shoot a doe last day of muzzle loader season though. There are enough for my liking to feel I am not doing any harm to the herd.

All I can say is, I'm real glad I went hunting this evening.

Cell service is crappie in this area right now so I'm gonna make this short & sweet...

I saw the biggest buck of my life while hunting this evening, perhaps two!

He was with six other shooters, maybe more, and I got it on 🎥 🎞 📷 film, about 15 minutes worth.

Details will come later on along with a video drop of all those unbelievable bucks tonight.

Pulled the tree-stand too and now getting ready to head down the road for home.

Later on 'TOO'ville!

You and Brian got it down to a science. The only people I know that consider "only" seeing 15 deer a sit a bad sit. You guys should take those complaints to a doctor and get some disability for that.

I'm with ya, wasn't a great season for me either. I have work to do.

Late season yarding. I never saw big numbers until about the end of the gun season week. Those deer pushed together seemed to stay close to a couple of my hunting spots. Lower pressure areas.

We call you Phil Dance because of your ability to catch and release big old mature bucks. Your post are starting to rival Chance. He's the only other person I now that sees that many shooters.
