Just had 2 trophy does milling around at 40ish yds. I was 99.9% sure the one was a buck until I saw her head. I’m trying to save my public land doe tag for gun week, but if that lead doe steps into 20 yds wide open it’ll be hard to resist shooting her. Surprised I’ve seen anything with all the ruckus I made.

I lied again. Had a good broadside shot at a whopping 8 yards. Shoulda let her have it, oh well. Got some cool videos at least. That pic is a screenshot of a video so it looks like shit she was at 15ish yds there

Should’ve shot that hoe. She looped around and got down wind of me. Now she is hissing at me. I can’t see shit, I’m packing up lol.
As Brock says, we had all the fun with none of the mess. This is our #2 for Big Sis. He's 3 and has the same genes as my 2008 buck. His rack is pretty much what it'll be minus the mass he'll add as he grows. My 2008 buck had 41" of mass and basically no tine length to speak of. Was also missing a G3 on his right side. It's crazy that 15 years later you can see the same genes expressing themselves.

2nd doe followed the 1st & had a staredown with my blind for about 10 min. All done till after Strouds
Had a fun hunt saw a couple bucks that will be really nice if they survive another season or 2..only way they gonna get bigger is if ya let em walk and watch em grow. Always a chance the neighbors may shoot them but that's the game we play.

My nephew was able to shoot his buck tonight. All the kids went on the track job it didn't take long with a perfect heart shot.
