Well dj just text me “about done”. Said the squirrels and chipmunks are driving him crazy 😂. Acorns have been falling all day. Where’s the deer, where’s this fucking rut, where’s the seeking phase? Y’all land owners are putting too much corn out!
Do you mind grabbing a few bags for Levi on your way back? TOO soon? 🤣

Well buck fever got the best of TY this AM. Just spent 4.5hrs and 3+miles tracking a throat punched basket rack, his first attempt at a buck. Farmer to east is cutting corn, said he saw him chasing a doe but could tell he was hurt. Sucks, and he'll wrestle with it for awhile, but a good learning opportunity for the young man.

Here was a few minutes prior to trigger squeeze as he worked towards the middle of the blind.

Hunted property A this morning. Did some stand moving from property B to property C. Now hunting property C. Wouldn't you know it: a dandy if an 8pt was at property around noon and I left at 10am. Such is life. Thankful to be able to do this. Cell cams tell us if we still have a sense of humor or if we are becoming crusty old bastards. I won't cry or complain about it. It is what it is and I'm happy to be in a tree. . . On a different property. 🤣
