Right after I posted about the guys, dj texted me “small 8 @ 15 yards”. And said he’s headed to me. Few minutes pass and I see him about 60 yards skirting me and I give him a soft grunt to check him. He stops and then bounds off.

Small forky and 2 whoreless lil does inside 35 yards from me so far. Other than that it’s been pretty quiet here and that’s after doing a rattling sequence. Lmao
Little 6 just walked into the pinch. He did what I want the big guys to do ....

There’s a good saddle on a ridge at the back end of our property but it’s a mother to get too. Straight up some giant ravines. Since there’s nothing on camera yet that I want to shoot, I decided to make the hike in. Elected to go in at daylight so I could take my time and take an efficient route. Saw four does on the walk in being pestered by a small 8. Watched them for a little while and when they moved off I kept hiking. Took my saddle and sticks in because I’ve never hung a stand at this location. Set up and within 15 minutes two does come in. They bedded behind me and then a real nice 9 worked his way across the saddle right under my stand. Fortunately for him I realized who he was and let him pass. It’s warm but actions decent so far. Good luck everyone!
6 does, 3 bucks. Most deer I've seen on a sit this year. Just that little bit of action, the rest has been typical morning activity.

At 10:30 I told dj I was going to check the other side of creek and get up on the ridge. Just like I expected it’s tore up w rubs, scrapes and acorns. Found an easy way out, told dj to grab my climber and drive all the way around and pick me up.

Walked out about hour ago. Get to the truck and start heading home. Look back in the section im hunting and son of a bitch there i see the monster from last night up and moving in the direction of my stand. I watch thru the binos as he's moving at a pretty good pace like he might be following a doe. I backed truck up and parked and snuck all the way back into the stand. Gonna give this a little time.

I've been seeing two year olds just about every set. I'm ready for daddy to show himself
Gave it over an hour, no sighting from the stand. He probably bedded up in the woods. Headed home for the day. Try again later this week.

We back in on the ridge, but new area than yesterday morning. Wind is iffy right now but will stop and our scent will go down to the creek w a bluff bank. Next few days it will be a perfect wind. Let’s paint some leaves!
In since 2:15. I look like a jumpy meth head reacting to all these 200 pound squirrels.
