Only thing banging in my backyard are these chipmunks! I've never seen so many chip and dales it's insane this year. Been eyeballing those Chinese slingshot bows

I’m in. Not sure why other than boredom and curiosity. Buddy and I ventured to the DSA this morning. Did some quick scouting and split up for an evening hunt. Found some good sign and didn’t seem like there was an unreasonable amount of pressure the last 2 days. Shocking considering it’s a hundred and fuck degrees out. If anything comes through it’s gonna be a damn near point blank shot. Not very optimistic but feels good to work the first hunt kinks out.

Saw a doe in the distance browsing on beans, buddy saw a basket 8. I’ll chalk it up as a success since neither of us had ever hunted there before. Might try it again, might not. This heat sucks balls lol

In Kansas again for early muzzleloader. 90° and 20mph wind today. Seen 3 bucks and 9 doe tonight.

My brother shot this 10pt tonight at another spot.
