I snuck out down the road for a 45 minute sit, place is not an extremely active area and is about 100 yards to the land owners house. No expectations just enjoying the quiet

Had a coyote bust ass through that didn’t respond to my squeaks, and a lone mature doe around 7 that never offered a shot. Back at it Friday hopefully.

Mason laid eyes on a decent buck last night. I saw him tonight. No shots fired. Not sure we’d shoot him yet anyway, but we are both carrying recurves and for whatever reason that makes them look bigger. 
. I’m hoping to give him another go tomorrow, left my stand in the tree to make things easier.

OK fellas this isn’t live, because I have zero cell service at my property. This is a short video taken from my creek bottom stand. This is the only stand that I have hunted from for the last 10 years and the stand I killed Splitter from in 2014. This is by far the best funnel I have ever hunted. I drive my lawn tractor to within 15 yards and hide it behind a fence I built for this purpose. A man’s got to do whatever it takes to get in the woods. I guess I am not a believer in burning out a stand location lol. Also added a photo of the buck I shot from this stand last year.

Just added to the fleet. I've had this tractor in my garage for years waiting for my "beast" to die. Beast is still running like new and has been retired to mostly mowing duties. Both are LT1000 models that I have proven can take a beating. I removed the mowing deck and added a pair of ATV tires. This ones duty is driving to and from my stand and deer recovery. So far so good at both.

I’m up. Went to check a cell cam since it wasn’t working and found a ladder stand setup 15 yards from it (second time that’s happened this season to me lol). Pulled the cam and boogied out of there and drove to a different section. Hunted this area one other time and shot a doe, hoping for similar luck. I have 10-15 young white oaks on the edge of a thicket and in range that seem to be the only oaks nearby that are dropping acorns. Here’s to hoping. Good luck to anyone else out.
I'm out finally. Wind screwed me earlier so.... pick a spot and sit!

Oh the trials and tribulations of public land. Just had a feller come clanking through with his climber with less than 2 hours to go. Gave him a friendly whistle when I saw him stop at 60-ish yards from me to start his climb. He backed off and continued further down the trail. At least he was courteous lol
Seen 1 doe with fawns and 2 bucks. One buck was pretty nice, too far away to get a good look.
You posted this and I was already thinking..."Dick is due for a good'n!"

Ended the evening with a few does wandering through around 75 yards and had one blow once I got on the ground.

First time out…skunked. But man it was perfect 
Just got settled in for my first sit of the season. Taking advantage of this NNE wind to put in some reconnaissance, and the chance of throwing a doe into the freezer. It feels like a good deer movement kind of night.
We are out. Glenna in the drivers seat. Her buck is back in the neighborhood.
