After the squirrel hunters left it was fairly quiet the remainder of the hunt. With 5 minutes to go I started to pack up my camera gear and spooked an unidentified deer. Couldn’t find it in my binos. Packed up and slipped out without bumping any other deer as far as I could tell.

A perfect wind direction and the first October cold front. I just couldn’t help myself. Sorry, work… I’ll get there at some point today. One slickhead in the CRP so far this morning. Hoping for a fluke daywalker to check a scrape in front of me.

Sure has been fun watching the cell cams the last couple days. My one farm thats missed the EHD has bucks coming out of the wood work.
