In the blind with the girls skunked so far it's perfect out and got in quiet surprisingly. 13yr old does great, the 11yr old has been ready to go back for an hour. So I get to listen to them bicker lol.

Skunked so far this morning. Heard no shots from youth hunters , but did have a red fox under my stand ..

Called a young 6'r to the base of the tree from down in the holler for the fun of it. Then had a BB with the zoomies entertain me, and just had a really nice 1.5 year old 8 point cruise through. Only one shot an hour ago, so it's been quiet other than the creek below me giving off relaxing vibes.

Well they made it to 930, in for breakfast and chores then out this afternoon with big sis to a better spot set up for two people. Lil sis says she done but we'll see. I think the 9yr old and 7yr old would do better but I have age standards lol. Have these guys been coming in to the afternoon spot.

We are back at the cabin, Hebron Hatchery youth deer hunt lottery is an absolute waste of time, I would def waterfowl hunt and will put for duck/goose hunts, but fyi to everyone unless they bait again, it’s not good

boy got one this morning. He's in a cooler with ice. Put a heck of a shot on him from our yard. We were getting ready to walk in to our blind as it was light but they were between us and our blind so we stayed put. Had a shot but couldn't shoot because our neighbors blind was inline thorough so trees and brush but it could be sketchy so we went back and forth will he was defending a doe from to other bucks. He had another shot opportunity but I questioned a tree in front of us and didn't shoot. Buck went back to the doe in the trees. The other bucks circled, he came back out in the direction we needed. We were on our freshly moved dirt hill so a rock solid rest. I told him to keep the cross hair on him like normal but up a little bit higher than usual. He fired, it cracked him good, big mule kick I thought I saw him fall I yelled and danced with excitement but wasn't 100%....waited over an hour and a half just in case. My wife took action pics from our new bedroom as he almost got the first shot off. The buck went forty yrds. The bullet caught a corner of his heart. Got a tracking video. Lifetime memory made here. Kid can shoot and that gun is a tack driver. I'm going to step it off in a second I'm guessing 170.
