….and the funeral procession: In this photo the matriarch of the family is dead. Her family circled her for 15 minutes mooing like cattle. I’ve never seen behavior in 44 years of deer hunting. I would say they were crying.

It’s about 21 years old. A two fold project as a swing set for 3 and a deer hanger. The kids are all adults now.

Back out with my oldest, saw one cross the top of hill so far..they were in here last night or this morning, we'll see if they come back..we have a pretty sketchy wind for this spot but I'm gonna take her as long as she asks, these times wont last long.

This battle scarred deer came up behind the house this morning. Survived a shot thru the upper shoulder yesterday ? It then went past my blind where I shot my buck last month & where a hunter was using this weekend. She wasn't so lucky then..... they shot a deer yesterday evening, knocked it down & it ran away which they couldn't find. They didn't think this was the same deer, so I dunno.....
