The blind we are sitting in tomorrow is on an oak flat where Tracie and I both killed our first bucks. Her and I filmed me attempting to stop a monster 8 one year that had his head up a does rear end. Saw the biggest buck of my life here and missed the biggest (same deer - 160" 10). The flat is the same, but the neighborhood is way different. If I get to send some IKS material tomorrow, it'll be another memory in a long line of fun times on this oak flat.

Just need to slide in without buggering anything on the way. Then cross fingers and hope neighboring hunters do the same.

I'm sitting in a hole I made in some cattails, hunting on the ground. Bumped either a small deer or a coyote on the way in but I didn't have a flashlight on so I don't think it spooked too bad. The mosquitoes are about as bad as I have ever experienced. Even with the steady breeze they are relentless. The thermacell is barely holding em back!

Bad sign...went by two of my previous apple spots and all the apples were still there (most anyway out of 2-55 gallon barrels fulls). Hopefully it is because they turned too fast and not the logging...
