Feeling sick. Bumped a large deer coming in. Single deer. Deep, loud snort. Headed across bean field and blew a few more times. Seems big bucks generally just amble off to safety quietly, make 2-3 heavy bounds to safety, or hunker down in the beans. I'm hoping it was just a big bertha doe. I don't think it was. Family of coons, white cat under me in the dark. Couple deer under me in the dark. Nothing since legal light. Not even in the distance.

Fugg! Mark Mark just strolled through with another deer. 60 yards away. Had NO idea that path was there.

They were crashing around the creek before that.

It is THICK in here now that it has been logged almost two years.

I just may end up with the Zika.

Had one come in down wind a few minutes ago. Busted me killing a mosquito on my hand. I forgot how quiet these deer can be. It didn't blow just bounded off in the beans. Didn't have any horns that I could see so either a big doe or a scrub.

Hey, at least you saw him! Maybe he'll come back through! Good luck!

If they would have chosen downstream and not up...ugh. I am happy with this sit. Confidence builder for sure in a new set.

Downstream...18 yards and they are blind to me until shooting time.

Good luck everyone! Went to a concert last night and drank way to much so didn't make it out this morning. Going to go out tonight.

Had 5 doe and one fawn come through. The property im hunting requires me to shoot a doe first before buck hunting. I dont like killing big mature does so I was holding out for a clear shot at the fawn. Ended up getting busted which i figured i would. I didnt stand much of a chance having 5 mature doe at 15 yards. Ill give it anothet hour but after get blown at 47 times my confidence level has really dropped. I bet my buddy hunting down the ridge is dying laughing right now.

well......... I had two mature and one fawn come in twenty min after shooting time. The fawn led the way and came to what i thought was a clear two foot by two foot window at fifteen yards. I draw and got steady waiting on one of the mature does to come into the window. Sure enough the second deer walks in and i try to stop it. That was a mistake.......the deer scatter but one was still close enough to shoot, but was standing behind a small bush. head and ass clear but no vitals. After what seamed like ten minutes go by of her standing there motionless she finally makes one step and its go time. My arms are very tired by now since i have been at full draw for a while but i thought i could still get it done. I settle my 30 yard pin on her and let it fly. I was so focused on her i didn't realize i had turned enough in my climber that my cam was damn near touching the angled up portion of the frame. Well..... when i shot my cam hit the climber and it all went to hell in a hand basket. I have no idea where my arrow went and i feel pretty stupid for making such a rookie mistake. Off to the campground do drink my sorrows away!!!

Hope it didn't fuck the cam up ...make sure you don't have any sharp edges on the cam it might wear on the string if it dented it in any way ..sorry to hear you missed tho sounded like your having fun tho
