Set up but don't know if I'll see anything. First sit in this set this year. Corn came off last week. This is the same property that I saw the nice 8 last week. Hope his dad comes by.

Good luck everyone.

I'm back in my ladder stand & that ten came back thru. He was heading back to where he came from this am. I had the crossbow with me this time & I had a shot. He's actually a nine, so I passed. He was busy making rubs again. At least I have him on video.

Saw two bucks. One was a small basket eight. The other was a nice eight. Drew back on the nicer one. Was holding waiting for him to turn he was quartering away almost directly away. Not sure what happened but arrow went flying. Not sure if release failed or i hit the release with my finger. Arrow buried way back on him. He bounded off. Pretty sure he is fine. Hit looked to be in the hock. Waited a while and found some blood. Bright red. Not a lot so I backed out. I will go back in the morning and do some more looking. Tonight I am checking the release out to see if I notice any issues. Sick to my stomach. Sure wish it would have been a clean miss. I believe he will survive but I want to make sure. He was right in front of my camera so I will pull that card and see if it gives me any Intel.

Almost. Better judgment kicked in. He's 35 yds out behind that dead trunk & crossing my trail. He was at 20 yds in my shooting lane , heading right at me until he veered off. I'm in a great spot & deer keep coming thru.

What pisses me off is that I had just modified my shooting lane a few hrs before & when I did go back out, I placed a cam in that lane & it didn't capture him walking at it.
