Been quiet for a bit. Decent 8ish point was about 30 minutes behind the does pokeing along.

Still hunted in after sun up and this place has exploded with scrapes the last couple days

Yellow is the stand. Blue is where he came from. Red is the route after the shot. Arrow was found where the red line stops, also where I lost sight of him. Black is likely routes. He's not in the field. We checked the places we figured he might go, but with no blood, he could have gone anywhere.

Dante322, do you know where this deer beds down at. That is his safe haven, more than likely if he isn;t hurt to the point of not being able to think, That's where he;ll end up.
If he's following trails and not wandering off of said trail then he's not paniced enough to not try for safe haven. By not finding good blood then it should be filling up in cavity making it hard for him not to bed down quick.
If you got only one lung he may survive.
Sounds like you did not get a pass thru, If it were me and i had permission to look at bedding area that's where i'd end my search.
Hope you have luck on your side after all this rain.

I complain about the dogs going nuts over squirrels in the yard. Well, sometimes working from the house is costly. This time I hit an inch and a half low. 20161103_134721.jpg

Next thing I know I am shooting my bow, getting small game heads out of my tree, ruining arrows, and not getting work done. Oh and the squirrel lives to torment my dogs another day.

Today the "live from the stand" was my back porch.

I have 2 good ideas about that. 1 would be where he was coming from, the other is where he was headed. I'll be off work in an hour. This has been one long day.

My first search area is going to be where the black line heads back to the south like he did a u turn. That's the area he was coming from, stands to reason he was bedded there and would want to go back.
The next place is the small sure shaped area of timber on the north side of the woods to the east. He has been spotted up in there in the morning on a couple occasions in the last week.

If he's not in either of those 2 places, I am out of ideas.
