Missed a big 160"+ 8 point at 25 yards about 3:15 today. He came in following a doe, she proceeded under my stand. He lingered at the 25 yard mark, stepped broadside into a shooting lane and I was ready. I shot, arrow winged down.. He jumped arched his back and ran about 30 yards into a thicket. I got down at 4:00 to find my blood free arrow. Never seen this guy on camera. Was a fresh stand just put up today...

Saw 7 tonight. 2 young bucks I saw this morning and 5 does. Also saw a big yote at last light. 16 total deer sightings today. Pretty damn good day overall and one of the best hunts ever on the farm.

You gotta be haveing your best year in terms of sightings/action? Stoked for you buddy! Keep on enjoying wild America!

I refer to it as 'the walk of fame'. Ha.

Yeah, she was laying out in the wide open, looking worked over for sure. That much tail around, I think that's worth a shot in the morn if I can swing it
Seen one like that Saturday morning headed back to bed.

Seen one like that Saturday morning headed back to bed.

She was in the same spot I saw monarch buck bird dogging a week or so ago(it's all blending together). He was probably there in the thick stuff watching.

I gotta say, I'm haveing a heck of a year. Feels great to be in the saddle

No more sightings but I did hear, for the first time, a "mature" buck grunt... I have been doing that all wrong. That shit was aggressive. Last ten minutes I heard a faint grunt so I hit my grunt call and it went nuts. Running back and forth then sounded like it started to come my way but wouldn't commit. All of this with him out of sight through a thick patch of brush. No shots but a cool experience none the less.

I saw a monster Sunday morning and can't get him out of my head. I'll be there tomorrow morning but going to sit on the ground 30 yards from my stand. If he takes the same path I'll have about a 25 yard shot and be somewhat hidden. Just gotta smoke up and try to sit still. Wind is going to be perfect for it.

After 0800 I saw dick-all. Sitting above where two creek gorges converge. There is a higher clear field to the north side, but it's private. Didn't see many scrapes or rubs though a few weeks ago I saw many tracks and scat. Should I move on in the morning or hold fast?

I would move to where you see the freshest and most sign.

Find a ridge...if nothing else you'll be able to see a ways and get a better idea of how to hunt the area. In the end, its deer hunting and more times then not...they will be wherever you wanted to sit. Problem is, you'll be in another spot! My other suggestion would be to go squirrel hunting, you'll see millions of deer and no squirrels.
