I climbed down about 9:50 nothing moving except a few squirrels. Gonna start my beef stew and head back out about 2:30. Good luck

Heard 6 shots, including one of those fancy autoloading muzzleloaders. No deer seen. We're headed back to the truck. Out again at 3.

I'm getting over a cold and feel like crap. Still going hunting though! Seeing that buck yesterday has me pumped.
Observations:
While working in SW pa today, I noticed many deer out browsing between 11:00am and 3pm on the sunny sides of harvested corn fields.
The land scape looked like this.
I mention this to those hearty soles arriving before sunrise and suggest that the deer appear to be waiting for the sun to warm the temps up a little above the single digits before feeding.
Maybe you should consider a mid day hunt as well if temperatures and as cold tomorrow.
