Sometimes I love sitting near a Hickory like that Shagbark to the left just so's I can watch the squirrels cut during lulls throughout the day to help pass the time away but when those lil fuggars start barkin their asses off cuz they saw you turn your head or slowly wave a hand over the skeeter that just sucked a pint of blood outta your cheek is when I think otherwise...lol

I'm really tired of these mornin hunts not producing anything! I guess I should have known being there is no moon.. But again you can't kill anything if u don't go out..

We put Brock's shiny light method to the test this morning. Walked right up on and past 5 deer no more than 100 yards from the house. My buddy is in a climber on the oak flat and should have a great morning. I'm in the platform blind down in the holler. The acorns are falling all over! One or both of us should get white knuckled on the bow grip this morning! Only thing I forgot was binos, but you can't see far enough to really need them right now.

Lots of eye shine here too. One was a good buck bedded in a thicket just off the edge of the corn field I was walking along.

Should have checked this stand recently. Weeds were taller than me getting to it. Doubt I'd be able to even see a deer in there.

Well, I was getting set up in my stand and nocked an arrow in so I don't have to if/when something comes in and went to go out my quiver in the slide and dropped it... Don't know how that happened but all I need is one. Let's hope the rest of the day isn't like this

First time on the new property in the dark is always a hoot. Got my dad to his stand okay but got so turned around in the dark en route to my stand I had to pull out my compass lol kinda pissed tho, kicked a group of what I'm assuming are does twice then 15 minutes ago had a doe come outta nowhere at 40yds. Thought I was in the clear to get my bow but her companion back in the thick stuff that I never saw had eyes on me apparently.

Everyone shaking off that dust for the 1st sit of the year, lol. I'm the same. I got in a little late, and forgot all kinds of stuff, which was expected. But I have seen a spike a big ol doe and a bb so far. The big doe almost got an arrow, but it's still a little hot. She was tempting though!! Also, every deer walked down my exact path. I was spitting beech nut wintergreen right in front of the bb ' s face as he was sniffing my tree haha! Goodluck and be safe guys!
