Sitting tonight overlooking an old clearcut with some apple trees in it. This is the stand where I got the picture of the bull moose last week.
Beautiful opening morning in north central ohio. The sounds of early season are quickly forgotten, lot different then the last 2/3's of the season. Enjoy the hunt fellas!
I have crickets, locust and a lone rooster raising hell! Just a doe with 2 fawns laying 25' from the back gate under the crabapple tree on the way in. Liked to have scared the shit clean out of me! She let me get within 8-10' before she bolted. Wasn't expecting deer to be laying in the backyard! LOL

4 or 5 moved thru under cover of darkness. Had a nervous doe take her time moving thru. 2 yearlings came up and nudged her to move thru. I will not start a thread because I couldn't tell much. I will say Garrett loosed his first crossbow bolt. About to check bolt.
