This is the 5th buck over 140 in the 7'or 8 years I have used a recurve that would have been dead with a compound in my hands. I guess I'm just meant to kill a 125" every year lol. The good news is he came back after I hit the tree and went by me at 40 yards. So Tommorow if I can leave work early enough he may be back if the wind is right.

Been up in this tree for about an hour. Nothing to report but it sure is a nice morning to be in the woods!

I did every thing right for this buck. Little to no pressure. Slipped in when the wind and weather was right and setup. He followed the script. I fell apart. 3" left.

Just got settled in to one of my favorite spots on this farm... where i had my first bow kill... only to remember that my brother moved the stand from this spot to another. So ground hunting it is...

Skunked this morning in the stand but did see some new scrapes on the way out. I checked a camera at another property that's been over a pile of corn for 4 days. First picture was a decent buck with a half hour of shooting light left so I'm excited to hunt there soon. Getting ready to smoke up and try sitting on the ground by some standing corn. Hopefully will be dragging a doe out in a few hours.
