I got here early today. Less than 5 minutes after getting in the stand I heard a deer stomping fairly close. she stomped for a few minutes then took off through the woods blowing with at least a couple following her. Was too dark to see so hopefully they come back but she didn't seem too happy. They were upwind of me so I don't know what got her going unless she heard me climb into my stand and then came closer to check me out. Bitch.

I hope you find your doe, good luck.

Had one blow on the way in. Got settled in at 6:53. Had grunting in front of me before legal light, didn't sound to big. As it was getting light had two buttons stroke by. Then had a decent 2 1/2 year old 6 sneek up behind me. Then had a scrub 8 chase a doe right to the bottom of my stand. Pretty active morning so far. Can't believe how calm it is.

Got out at 0630. Around 0700, had a deer walking downwind right where those does were yesterday. He was putting his hoof down knowing something was odd, but didn't spook. He walked off, but came back & cut across in front about 30 yards. I could barely see his body. There was another deer there too. He made a rub & then vanished. I had some Evercalm out as well.

Had him 20 yards behind me walking towards my tree but decided to set the crossbow down and take his picture. Best hunt of the year so far for me! He was on a mission looking for love. image.jpg

Good luck finding her. Not quite following the shot write up, but gathered you took a shot at one.

0915 - buck standing 50 yrds out from where the pre dawn buck was last. Fuggar walked past my ground blind. He skirted around me & looked to be a wide 8. I got a video beforehand but he didn't look like much then. I grunted & snort wheezed, but he wasn't impressed. He was in no hurry going.

Well went in on a count of the wind chaning to much. What makes me sick is I pulled my card and my shooter was in there at 6 pm last night while I was working. Going back out this evening hoping he shows up again
