Yesterday was probably the best day I have ever had on stand. I got off work at 9 am., got to my stand around 10:45. Climb up my stand and Im getting set up when 2 does are moving about 10 yards from me, 5 seconds later a small dink is right behind them, grunting. He pushes them around the pine trees for about an hour then he leaves. Around 4 pm I had a decent 6 pt come out into the field, gave me a perfect 20 yard broadside shot. First buck Ive ever seen while hunting that actually have me a shot. He walks off behind me. About 10 minutes later a lone doe comes around and runs right up from behind me and stops 17 yards right in front of me, broadside. She turns and looks behind her the way she came, so I knew there was something chasing her. She takes a hard right and goes back into the field, I turn and that same buck is 10 yards behind me. He chases her off. About 30 minutes later they are running through those same pines again. I saw more deer tonight than I have in the past 2 seasons. Hoping to put one down this week. Ill be heading out this afternoon, probably be set up by 330-345.

Hang in there Mike. TOOday is the last day of vacation. Wind direction us finally I'm my favor, but no wind for the most part. All is quiet. Too quiet.
9:00 and starting a light rain. Maybe this will start the deer to move. Hate bow hunting in rain but it's real light.
