It was indeed. Mason has bullied me out of my favorite stand. It took me years to get access to that spot and now I can't even hunt it! Haha. Kids.

Had 4 doe and a nice young buck within 10-25 yards for 40 minutes. Smoke won the battle. Had another buck skirt me. Bumped 6 more right at my truck.

Haha, I have a stand I put up on my place that has had 7 deer killed out of it and I've only killed one.
Was a nice morning to sit in the stand but was skunked for the first time.

There were already cars parked at plan A and B so I had to make up plan C on the fly. Think I may have lucked into a killer rut spot....
It's super crazy how crowded the Ohio public lands are getting these days and it's during the October Lull even! Lol

This is only the second time I've ran into other hunters during the week. It's been pretty busy on the weekends though. I work weekends so it works out well for me.
I'm in. It's hot in the sun and not many apples missing....but I'm already here.
