I'm all settled in for my last hunt of this season.
Not expecting much with all the bucks that are shedding but i just enjoy the time out here.

Layla and I are in a ground blind on doe patrol. She is the shooter of course. Good luck to everyone out!
What a nice night to be out. No deerz seen. Had a rabbit hunter with a beagle working the thicket just across the field from me right after I got there. Thats usually where the deer come from. He probably had a better idea than I did tonight, haha.
Saw 7 does and 3 half racks.
They all moved just before dark.
Thats it for me,guess we can start all over again in a little over 7 and a half months.

Just got back home.
I couldn't have been in stand for more then 10 minutes when the nice 8(found out he is a nine) appeared. Beautiful deer. His throat patch is as white as it gets. Pretty sure I have some pics of him from a couple years back. He came from an unexpected direction, got to about 50 yards and checked up. Skittish as can be. Eventually he left without ever comeing any closer.
Coyote showed up shortly after that. First time I've seen one at this place. Sum a biotch bedded down exactly where that buck had just been and didn't leave till dusk.
Saw 3 more does and 2 small bucks to finish the hunt up. Naturally, they all walked right by me. Ha
Another great hunt! Just haven't caught a break. Can't complain about seeing nice ones! I'm not sure wtf he was doing up and at it. Had to be 4:30ish

Went out this afternoon until dark for my last sit. Only deer I saw were at the gate to the property on my way out in the dark. The big one I missed during ML is alive and well according to my buddy who saw him recently. Maybe next season!
