Lookin for a chain saw

Yup, I read somewhere that gas only has a 30 day shelf life now. Very very good idea to add something to it. Sounds like most of you have caught on to this also!

My boat sat idle for 18 months due too a deployment.... In the back of my mind I was concerned about the gas left in it (5/8 of a tank) but had loaded it up with both sea foam and stahbil and it worked like a champ.... I did fill up with fresh fuel added too it before I took it out on the water but never had a bog or a hiccup with it.....

I finally dropped off my Stihl at a small engine repair. Hopefully he can fix it. It will prime and start right away but acts like it runs out of fuel. Tinkered with it to no end so figured it was time to let someone know what they are doing take a look at it.

10 to 1 the fuel line that goes from the tank to the carb is dry rotted and has small cracks.

My new one helped me tear out a deck today. Going ti be redoing the deck once i get back from vacation. So far it is tits. 20" and around 3.5hp.

Nice saw! They've redesigned them since I bought mine. My saw has two bolts that hold the bar cover on and it doesn't have the quick release for the air filter.

Yeah some say that the Husq is inferior with one bolt but they don't take into consideration it still has a stud in place of it. If you are using the saw to pry your doing it wrong. Lol

You were 100% right Joe. I put the new line on today and it ran perfect. Hairline crack there in the line. Looks like I need to buy better gas from here on out.

Been there done that. Lol. Just dry rot. Husqvarna has extra line coiled up inside the tank for that reason. Just pull the tube off the carb nipple, pull some line out, cut of the bad part and put it back on.

Ok so Ive used my saw a number of times now. When it works, it works great. Problem is getting it started, and keeping it running. There seems to be no idle with this thing. Any thoughts?

I've noticed my Husq is a cold natured beast compared to the Stihl. Didn't think that was possible. Reminds me of an old carbureted Honda. In all honesty, I'm no longer happy with the Husq and wish I had bought the Stihl...
