Looking for a good vacuum sealer

Time to pull the trigger, looking to buy a good vacuum sealer to put stuff up in the freezer. Couple years ago I was looking at a vac master 215. They no longer make them or the name changed. Without researching for hours, I’m asking everyone if they have any knowledge in this area to lead me in the right direction.
I’m not looking for a Walmart model or ones along that line. I’m a buy once, cry once kind of person. Thanks in advance

I bought the Cabela's deluxe 15" stainless steel sealer back in 2005. I have sealed thousands of bags with it. still pulls as good of a seal today as the day I took it out of the box, and the seal strip is 1/4" wide. best $400 I ever spent. I think these are all made my Weston, and you can buy replacement parts for them. motors, seal strips, etc. but the only thing I've ever replaced was the metal seal strip and the teflon tape that covers it. the only better way to seal bags is with a chamber vacuum sealer, and some of those have become affordable and might be worth looking into as well.

This thread is from 2021. The venison steaks I cooked today were frozen in foodsaver vacuum sealed bags and smelled as good and looked as good as the day I froze them

I just realized I'm eating what bears eat- venison and blueberries

TD, everyone else mentioned a traditional foodsaver esque sealer. What you were asking about is a chamber vac. Completely different price points and quality/style.

Vacmaster is the "standard" for chamber vacuums but I'm probably going to get a LEM (asking for CHristmas). The space I want to put mine in won't fit the commercial styled ones, or else I'd do a VP230 for the size. The bags are so much cheaper than the rolls of stuff for the foodsaver styled ones that it'll add up over time.

Yes I bought one and the wife bought a small rolling cabinet to put the sealer on top and all the bags is the drawers. Weights 90# and would take some counter space. Works like a charm. I suggest getting 5 mil bags that way things don’t poke through it. Totally happy w mine after paying for it.

I have the LEM Maxvac pro chamber vacuum. They have changed the model without changing the name so it's weird to lookup.

I went this route for size so it can sit and be used in our pantry but I can still move it to a different location for other jobs.

It's done a great job today on 39lbs of trail bologna packaged almost completely into serving size packages. (So think a lot).

My Game Saver went out right as I was processing my last deer. I ran out to Meijer and bought a cheapo to get the deer finished. I took apart the Game Saver and replaced the micro switch, but that didn't work. Then, I found some engineer on YouTube that figured out which capacitor failed. I soldered in a new one and it worked! I have a bag of extras.
