Jackalope,
Thanks for the hot tip!

Nice of them (ODNR) to come out with a new regulation...29 days after the new regulations and licenses are issued. I would certainly hope that they'd let most anglers slide with a verbal warning, the first year of this new regulation. If for no other reason, due to their negligence of having in print BEFORE the release date of the new regulations. However, I will NOT be holding my breath on this one. :smiley_armscrossed:

Classic...a real classic on the ODNR's part. :BS:

I think the new rule was published in this year's fishing regs... but I could be wrong.

I agree that the new rule sounds stupid. In fact, it's a pain in the ass. However, over-harvest of perch and walleye up at the lake is a HUGE problem. The WO's have an extremely difficult task in catching the double-dippers. With a diminishing walleye population, and it being such a valuable resource to Ohio, I'm all for a rule (no matter how stupid it sounds) that makes it more difficult to get away with over-harvesting.

I agree with ya'll on the Rapala Filet knife for for manual option. I use an American Angler (99% sure that's what it is) for electric knife, I have a Rapala as well as a Mister Twister electric as well and the American Angler blows them both away IMO. Sharp, flexible, and enough power to filet any fish that I've ever kept.

I don't use the manual knife very much, I usually throw them on ice and filet them when I get back to the shop where there's a fridge full of beer! :smiley_cheers:
