Stopped in Bridgeport equiptment today on the way to Logan and went inside wearing a mask....I was the only stupid SOB wearing one...quickly took it off to blend in with the herd.

Lets have an experiment. walk in a whole foods without one and let me know what happens.
I went in 2 Krogers today, no mask. Nothing said.
Wife went to Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg today - everyone wore a mask and some staff had a mask and face shield on - ya won't get in without a mask on - went grocery shoping on the way home at Giant Eagle - Streetsboro - all staff and shoppers were masked up - wth

So the judge in Ashland County that said the health department can't fine or close businesses for their patrons not wearing masks has been outdone by bureaucracy. I have friends with multiple businesses in and around town.
The liquor license people said they are fine with you not wearing masks but will pull your liquor license over it.
Also, evidently Czar Dewhine put in an order earlier this year giving the BWC power to consider lack of mask wearing something they can fine over.
Then there's the math aspect. If you do the math on the vaccines they are all 93ish prevent effective in preventing you from catching the disease. So that means 7 out of 100, 70 out of 1000, or 700 from 10000 will get it. Deweeney wants us to reach under 50 cases per 100000 for two weeks before he removes restrictions. Even at 100% vaccines rate we can't hit it. WTF

The people vaccinated enjoy the 93% but doesn't mean the 7% will get it then their's the 43% or what ever not vaccinated - doesn't mean they will get it either - but some in each bracket will - Joe will be along and straighten us out on this

I'd say less than 50% of people locally are complying at this point and most who don't, like me, only shop at a handful of places where we know we won't be told to put one on. Still voting with my dollar.

Haven't seen this mentioned in the news media i follow. That's really bad i agree. Unfortunately i think there are still a lot more smokers and other unhealthy habits in much of India's population. They also have much less US level healthcare from what i understand so iwould be easier to overwhelm.
Why? why are you taking your toys and going home? where did the conversation upset you? we need divergent opinions as long as no one is getting personal..... what gives?

Depends on the shot as to it's effectiveness percentage but I think you're in the ballpark.
Not upset at all - just no point to it any more for me - and tired of the braggadoico by some - get n stale - stay safe

so let me make sure I'm understanding you clearly. because some of us refuse to drink the kool-aid for our own personal reasons ( which, the last time I checked, I am still a free American adult and able to make my own decisions), and aren't afraid to say how we feel about this whole sorry affair, makes us boastful and arrogant? I hardly think so. I think we all know the handful of people you are referring to, btw, so let's not pretend otherwise. grown ups can agree to disagree. I think we all understand why someone your age would be more concerned or fearful of whatever about this than those of us at lower risk. I would expect the same consideration in return from a person in your shoes.

Jessie i respect you and I.m not chickem little anything - i just came from a different generation where everyone pitched in for the common good so i see things a bit different then you all - didn't intend anything personal. Still have good memories from the few times we hooked up at the Stump hole and shoots and talking to Tracie. I am impressed by your achievements and love the stuff you post up about your gals. I think our generation has sacrificed enough to covid over the last year, including the unprecedented destruction of peoples livelihoods and small businesses. That's without even counting the segregation from friends and family they've undergone when there was no real risk to them personally in the first place. The time for that has passed, if someone is at risk they either need to get the shot or stay home and live like a hermit. That's their choice, and a choice they should exercise without judgment and damn well should do so without the demand that others follow suit.
