I work at a place where I am required to wear one when I am around other people. Keep in mind, while I lay out this rant, I did get the vaccine, so I am "protected." I have struggled with chronic headaches pretty much my entire life. If I don't get some meds in my system and respond accordingly when one gets started, they can snowball on me and get pretty bad. Yesterday I had a mild headache in the morning when I got up, but knew I was required to be on campus all day (roughly 7:15am-5:15pm). I had to share my control room with faculty all day, meaning wear the mask all day.

1) I was going to have to stare at a computer screen all day, not good on the eyes
2) Wearing a mask all day, I was breathing in regurgitated hot air for the better part of 10 hours
3) The mask pulls (gently, but it pulls) on my ears and bridge of my nose for 10 hours
4) I can't wear my glasses with the mask because they steam up, so more eye strain (I've tried contacts, they don't work well for me)

Having gone through headache issues all of my life, I know what helps me and what makes them worse. All of those things above make mine worse. Wearing a mask, while fully vaccinated, transformed yesterday into a nightmare for me by the afternoon. Most of the afternoon was spent focusing on not vomiting. I came close multiple times. I got home, took a heavy-hitter migraine pill courtesy of my mom (who also has these issues), and laid down for an hour. That got me back to functional.

But hey, at least everyone around me had fuzzy feels because I was masked up all day (while fully vaccinated). 👍🤬

I'm sure the mask Nazi's are grateful for your sacrifice and suffering despite that fact that it was completely meaningless and unnecessary. :(

but at least you now have permission from the CDC to take your mask off outside, provided that you are fully vaccinated and socialist distancing properly. are they joking?

I've tried Quick Spit, some sort of wipe a co-worker had, and dish soap (read online it works). So far, none have worked for me. I'll look for this stuff.
I wore a mask yday mowing because of high pollen and tried that anti fog stuff - seemed to work but might have been because i was outside. My sons job requires hours of computer work - he said it works and also has blue light coating on his glasses - btw first time i ever wore a mask to mow - dang

i get arguments from both sides of the isle. My wife wants her school to remain open. A decent amount of parents havnt worn masks from the beginning of covid. People above my wife's authority saw this at a function (not at school but related) people weren't wearing masks. Last week.......higher ups said I will shut u down......so my wife is backed into a corner with jobs on the line dealing with fucking masks!!!! they are cancelling everything to avoid all the bs and just get through the school year. I'm still wearing a mask for my wife's sake at school stuff.........

I tried the mask for pollen. I saw no difference. I've been wearing the masks BWC sent us while grinding. Trying to keep the dust and fumes out of my lungs. Outside of mask is clean. Inside you can see rust and grinding dust collecting where my nostrils are making the mask moist. If they can't keep dust from a grinder out. . . How are they preventing something I can't see?

I think you're right. Specific ones for pollen. That way they can charge ya more. 😁

I haven't found anything that works well enough to call it a success. I've used that stuff for years on scopes and it seems to help better than anything I've tried. Glasses is a lost cause for me.

No more tears baby shampoo. Wash your glasses lenses and rinse it off. Don't rub it off just rinse it well. It's what most everyone who scuba dives or snorkel uses to keep their mask from fogging. The water is cooler and your nose is in the mask so they tend to fog really bad. Been using no more tears for year's when snorkeling or diving.
