Mushrooms!

Were they worth carrying out of the woods? I found some fresh ones today. Seemed pretty tender to me but I left them on the tree.

I liked them. My nephew breaded his and said they were better that way.

Way better. If you can find them about the size of a half dollar or a tad bigger, they are really good.

I saw that bit on YouTube about picking the small ones. They must be great. I cut off a pound or two today, fixed them a couple ways and decided I like the better than morels! Fantastic little nuggets. My daughter even liked them and she won't eat a morel.

The ones pictured were drug through an egg then floured and fried in butter. I also fried some in butter with no breading.
