Got freezer meat both days. Had a blast with the kids in the stand. If I had held out, I might have gotten a shot at one of the trophies running around the farm, but I wanted meat. My season is over.

Congratulations to all of the successful hunters this Muzzy season.
I believe he didn't hear many shots.
I do not believe any of the statistics ODNR puts out. Seems realistic for my counties. Numbers were close to last year. . ."assuming" last years numbers were accurate.

I was on the Tuscarwaras-Coschocton line and Saturday was the most shooting we heard all of gun season. On my way home Sunday through the middle western counties such Crawford, Morrow, Seneca and Huron I seen more deer drive taking place than I have in a long time. That nice weather had the fair weather hunters out.
There ended up being a shitload of hunters out around here (hancock putnam allen). As others said, lots of deer drives taking place
Weather was perfect. Guys were hunting all over my area. 3rd rut cycle was in and bucks were after does. I know of several deer killed last weekend. Not surprised at all.
