Need some good mojo sent my way

Good luck buddy! Hope he's piled up when you get to him this morning.

Didn't you kill your deer last year from the ground TOO? Or am I thinking of somebody else.

No dice on finding him. The cattle did a great job of destroying the blood trail from last night, and I didn't find any blood. Searched 3 properties, with no buck in site. There was one property that we can't get permission on, but I don't think the buck headed that direction. Only thing I can hope for now is to see buzzards circling. This is the first deer I have ever lost.....and the biggest buck of my life. Sucks major balls right now

I always take the approach of.....He's out there somewhere....I just gotta find him! Good Luck Derek!
I am on Vacation and don't mind helping if need be. All you gotta do is say the word man.

Thanks for all the luck sent my way.......I really wish I could have found this deer. As usual, I have been replaying it over and over in my mind since last night. Things I should have done differently, etc. Here is what I know: #1 - I should have waited to see if he was going to walk to the does he was tending. This would have been a game of chance....he could have turned to the does and given me a perfect quartering away shot, or he could have turned and spotted me, with him blowing out with no shot.
#2 - I should have stayed on my property and left him sit for an hour or two. The reason I didnt was because I felt, at the time, that it was a fatal shot, and didnt want to lose the blood trail due to the rain. In reality, I gave him about 30-45 minutes to bed down, but he never did. Not once did I find a bed with blood in it, or large pools except for the spot where I watched him stop. Had I left him alone, even until this morning, I feel I would be posting hero shots instead of how stupid I am. As much walking around as I did on our property and the neighbors, I am staying out until tomorrow evening. I will be taking my wife out for an evening hunt, and hopefully something good walks by.
#3 -

Damn... sucks for sure. Who know though, you may still find him yet. Just let your head clear and come up with a different search plan.
