New Pup

Nice place you have there for training. Glad to hear he's making a good recovery. He looks very GSP-esque now! lol

Why do you say the migrators are moving through NoDak? They haven't really had any weather to push new birds through yet. Over the past four years, I've consistently seen the peak of the migration occur around the first two weeks of November out there. I would assume they're just killing resident greenheads out there right now.

Snowed in Alberta last week!!!!!!! My buddies are shooting limits daily. They are telling me all the sloughs are loaded with greenheads and pintails. Cacklers are also coming in. We are hunting the Northern part of the state. I will keep you posted on what i'm seeing, will be there for 14 days.

Lab name Moonshine love it!

Thanks. He has a shape of a moon on his chest. My whole family and I love drinking moonshine. I had thought hard about naming my pup. I figured that made perfect sense to name him moonshine. Of course Moonshine had a taste of moonshine. He sure loved it, lol.rotflmao

Ahh got ya. Yea the north part of the state is usually way ahead of the southern part, kind of like here in Ohio. Keep me posted and good luck out there!

North Dakota, treated us well. Finally the little pup got to get out and have some fun! Lots of first's this trip. My buddy shot his first duck and it was Rip's first retrieve, fairly long for his first. He was fantastic sitting waiting and watching the birds, I got a keeper in this one. He also found a Porky, while Phez hunting. Porky, won that battle, hopefully he learned his lesson. Was quite the wrestling match to get all thos quills out. Not many mallards, but shot some nice mixed bags including some beautiful Bull Cans, and Drake Widgeon's, lots of teal and redheads. Made for some fun shooting.
