I think it would have been high speed/low altitude if intentional. I was reading about the wind forces coming down from the rotor/blades/whatever the official name was. It made logical sense that it was likely not intentional. I'm sure our AF guys could better explain it and get the right part names. Lol

Article says they have a generator at the distribution location, but they can't recharge the batteries once they give them to people back up in isolated locations with no power and no generators

also (at least in my experience) those batteries don't charge or recharge fast so I wouldn't be running my portable generator enoughto recharge it

If you read the comments it did say they showed up charged, generators did arrive, and they were thankful for whatever had been provided.

There is big jugs of mixed fuel on the ground also.

Lots of the damage is just getting cut into paths to restore power and open roads. No real cleanup is happening in these harder hit areas. So a battery powered saw to the areas with power would be a huge help. I happened to snap a pic today of an area "cleaned up" to share with my kids.

The damage from this storm will be visually seen for years. The remote people aren't the only ones in need of saws.

Found a piece of equipment left with keys in it today. Made a new right of way road down the mountain. Right at 2,500' worth today.

I parked it back where I got it from. Filed the tank and greased it. When we left today the mountain had power and it should've been at least a 3 day job.

Freaking awesome. When you say new ROW did you just blaze through some public or private? I could see someone not being too happy about that despite getting power back.
