Yep. Futile is appropriate for me if I have my multimeter out. Unless I am checking battery volts, multimeters are worthless in my toolbox. I suck at chasing down electrical gremlins. Test light is where it is at. Either it has power or not. Hahaha
Resistance on a voltmeter measures the impedance electricity experiences across a wire. Basically. How hard is it for electricity to travel down a wire and how much loss does it experience due to resistence. The measurement for resistance is in ohms. Measuring resistance below 1 ohm is futile as the unit of measurement is 1 ohm.
