Two younger boars this morning. Not the sow that would have got in my dormer. Sterling shot the first one, freehand with the Model 60 22 at about 10 yards.
Two younger boars again in the same traps as yesterday. Interesting. The last time I did this I didn't start catching young ones until they were very thinned out and then only a few boars the whole time. Either way, the killing shall continue until the traps sit empty for a week or more and my soffit doesn't get touched. Sterling was rocking the model 60 again this morning.
I don't know if I should laugh or be concerned. I didn't have time to deal with the coons before work so we just shot them and let them lay. The boys are home for mardi gras break and I'm working from home. They went outside for a while. Now I'm walking through the yard and see where they got one of the coons out of the cuff, drug a Christmas lawn deer out from behind the shed and stuffed a coon inside it.
Yeah. Kids here get Mon -Wed off for mardi gras, Monday, Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Last year they were off the whole week but this year just through ash Wednesday. This ain't no game, it's parade season!
