We did good last year. 15 for the best. 9 was prolly average. Hope everything goes well Oak! Tight lines!

Yea thats what I'm hearing for this year. It's pretty crazy back in the late 70's early to mid 80's when I would get $50 or more for a good red and average in the high $20's for coon, rats were only around $4 avg

Thanks guys, all my buddies show up here for football games (they yellin cause a deer is in the way lol). My daughter just bought a house and I have been working on it, thats why my gararage is full.

can you guys tell me about gettin the new horton cable and string. I bought this off a guy that had it for a couple years and never used it (it was never fired)? I just heard that the old stuff sux. I heard it would cost 70 bucks to change it, Is it worth it?

But I will tell you this the rage broad heads are the nuts with a crossbow lol

Definitely go with a new cable and string! That will speed your bow up also as strings do stretch. Will tighten up your groups also. Call Horton as J suggested. See what they will charge for going over the front. A total rebuild should not cost much if limbs are good. 3 years ago, they did limbs and all on a Hunter Supreme for me and it was like 125.00. That bow is a favorite of mine as far as the older bows go. Take the trigger box out also: Blast it clean with real hot water and oil it. This will take a little bit off your trigger-pull.

Thanks xbow, I'm gonna finish off the year with the bow and have it fixed up for next year. I ran into a guy at Gander mountain that works for horton and he gave me a card so I can contact them. He made it sound like it wouldn't cost a lot.
