No "tags" buy a $45 license and you also get your turkey permit and saltwater license. With that you can shoot 2-3 bucks and 3-5 does per year depending on the zone, which includes 2 turkey tags also. No mandatory check requirement so it's really on the honor system.

I consider it a 30 dollar donation that goes towards conversation that can be used to improve Ohio habitat, my kids will enjoy someday. I can afford it and don’t mind giving the state $30 to hunt a very unpredictable elusive bird.
