Hit a local reservoir yesterday evening. Caught this big Cat on a Joshy swimbait a little before evening.

Went Dead after that for the most part until about 10pm. Caught these 4 Saugeye over the next 90 minutes, along with losing 3 more and missing several others. Biggest is 24.5", then a 23.5", 16", and a 15.5". All were caught on a suspendingHusky jerk within a few feet of shore. They parked themselves in inches of water ambushing small bluegill and crawdads. 2 biggest are fish Ohio's

Went back last night. Same story as before. Pretty dead until dark, then I threw on the suspending Husky Jerk. Third cast I hooked a nice saugeye and lost him at my feet. Took a bit to figure them out last night. With the cold front, they werent right up against the rocks. They were laying just off the 5' shelf in about 9' of water. I had to make long cast's with the wind and crank reel fast to get it down, then a slow pull, pause and twitch retrieve. Landed 4 keepers over the next 90 minutes and lost a couple. I lost a big girl right at my feet as I was getting ready to go. Ended up with a couple 17"s and a couple 15''s

Caught the shit out of them. We fished for 6 hours and boated over 250 gills each and about 50 small bass ranging from a half pound and smaller. The ODNR put a limit on sunfish at AEP lakes so we only kept 20 each of the bluegill. I bet we boated 150 keepers though. They were pigs and we kept trading up. The slip bobbers never sat for more than 5 seconds with most getting hit before they ever reached the set depth. Fishing so good your hands are sore the next day from reeling and hook sets. Just good ole wax worms under a slip bobber.

Something I seldom get to do anymore is fish but we took an inshore charter in Hatteras for a couple hours which produced some Spanish mackerel, small bluefish, and bonita.
It was the first time out on a boat for my boy in which he enjoyed himself getting to reel in most of these fish.
