Had one at 10 yards right at last light 2 or 3 years ago. Wouldn't let me get out of my stand, just looked up and stared at me. A buddy of mine that hunts about 3 miles from that property had pictures of one on trail cam that he submitted to the DNR. Would have never believed they were around here if not for that pic and the tree stand encounter.

Sure put me in on edge walking into that stand the following morning at dark...

I have never ran into one myself. I have had Beaver run me off the ice before. They puff up and snape there teeth at you, I dont think I want bit by one of them .
