Ohio CCW notify bill passes House

HB 142 bill was passed in the Ohio House by about 3-1.
New CCW notify law will require CCW holder to notify police office when asked for ID or Driver license. This takes care of the promtbly notify requirement.
Now it will be sent to the Ohio Senate and should sail through there.

Nice. I like clear cut rules with no room for guessing. Thanks for the heads up. We have come a long way from having to do the old Buckeye tuck in a vehicle.

Original bill was much better,but once again the FOP came out against the common people.And the BFA and the NRA sided with them.No notification works in other states ,why not Ohio?

Take a little at a time. Remember when there was no CCW in Ohio? I do for many years, almost 55 yrs as a matter of fact.

Yes I remember that long also.It is my understanding that the original bill, pushed by OFCC , had very strong support until BFA and NRA stepped in.I agree this is better,but not what could have been.
