Ozark Coolers from walmart

We bought a ozark 60 quart cooler (yetti knock off) with all the bells and whistles (roller wheels, extendable arm, bottle opener, drain, locking latches), all of the features worked very well other than keeping ice frozen. We bought 3 7# of ice Sunday at noon and they were all completely melted within 24 hours. Do not buy a ozark from walmart if you are expecting long lasting ice. We are returning this product tomorrow. I give this product a 1 out of 5 and do not recommend this product.

Op stated that he had no ice left in it. Mine had a chunk the size of a volleyball this morning and quite a bit of loose ice in the cooler after I drained water to make it lighter to lift. My stuff stayed cold. Probably not the best move on the OP's part by putting frozen meat in the cooler and expecting it to stay frozen, it's not a freezer, it's a cooler.

Still, 2 days in those temps isn’t $160 worth of impressive. My bait cooler still had ice in it this morning and it’s a $30 cooler.

Depends on how much it was opened and if all of the contents were cold when they were put into the ice.

The 24 pack of mountain dew I put in the cooler was piss warm.

Listen I'm just want to argue with tall Chad for the sake of arguing. I wasnt happy with my ozark 14# completely melted in 24 hours, I got my money back ready to try another brand. So all of you can yell at me in my next review

For the money, those Coleman extremes are kick ass. Next step up I would suggest buying an Rtic when they go on sale.

I've personally never been a fan of any of those coolers. They're big, heavy, and you sacrifice a ton of interior room comparative to their size. I don't see the cost justification over a regular cooler. A regular old igloo or Coleman will satisfy 99% of our needs. And for that 1% of the time they won't, then just buy another bag of damn ice. You can freeze a couple of 2-liter pop bottles with 1 cent worth of tap water in them, put them in a piece of shit cooler and they'll outlast the ice in any of these high end coolers.

I'm more so a fan of the durability of these coolers, that goes for any brand. I don't think it matters what brand cooler it is, if you fill a 73 quart full of ice and beverages it's going to take two people to carry it. Carrying mine around empty isn't an issue for me.

I have had several shitty coolers and none of them lasted too long. The RTICs that most of us bought on here a year or 2 ago have held up well for me. Fortunately with the deal they had then they weren't that much more than a shitty cooler.

My $20 pos like bottom of there line up Colman that I use on the boat for bait held ice for 3 days , I just dumped the ice out when I got home from the river. It’s sat on the boat in the sun the whole time. I’m going with operator error on this one. You gotta pre ice them, kinda like filling a thermos with hot water and it keeps coffee hot twice as long.
