Surveying is being done Monday.

Clearing for two of four remaining structures is done, fill incomming, starting to spread and compact the base tomorrow/Fri.

Power plan/site distro is at the engineering stage. Strawman schedule from FPL Fri.

Trying for a couple more bids for metal building and greenhouse.

Metal building 36'x70'

Greenhouse 30'x50'

Laser leveled metal building and greenhouse today and have to deal with some grade/fall of the land. We started with wanting the floor levels to be equal between the two buildings but the grade makes that an issue.

Plan to house much of the materials for use in the greenhouse in the metal building, so 4' man/equipment doors on both buildings opening in on Greenhouse and out on metal building. Think covered breezeway.

We're going to drop the greenhouse floor lower than the barn over the 8'. This is what I got from GROK.

We agreed on the sqft and general locations last week then squared and staked, got.

Our redneck way forward.

On another front, buddy has a farm North side of the county. Scouted and made some of my Hog Herion, sweet feed, whole corn, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tbls yeast.

Find where they're passing by.

Take a posthole digger make 2-3 2'-3' holes and pour in.

The fermented corn keeps the deer out of it, dont want to shoot deer down here so its a win. When they cross down wind, its a big hook. They rolled in last last evening for the first time. Feral hogs, shoot at night, IR scope, full auto whatever no worries. Got a Wildlife Innovations motion light, been using their solar packs for years.

The bait down past ~ 1 foot in the sand keeps them digging and it slides back down. Keeping them occupied for 3-4 days until its exhausted. At the end looks like a 120mm HE motor round impact crater.

First night on the bait was last nite. Heading up this afternoon.

They were on the property, about 1/4 mile sway. Skunked except for a herd of trash pandas that set the light off a number of times. Got to put the scope on them in pitch black with the kill light coming on at only 50% power - very nice, no worries to dirt nap a hog.

@"J" My 400 legend, 213gr soft nose. Doing head/neck shots ~50 yds.

Checked zero at 50 last week w the legend, middle target, lower left is 30-06, finger pressure first round then a good squeeze. Both are good but that .40 cal hits like a sledgehammer.

A really fun, quick morning! Dint troll a half mile for all three. Changed from a treble to a single hook and went 3:3 this AM. Two Sunday's ago it was 4:11.

Original hooks (top) of the 12 and 14 X-Rap.

1st update BKK Raptor trebles - hook to land land ratio went up with that.

After the last run, 0:3, 4:11, and 0:2 I knew I could do better.

Swapped out for BKK single hook, 5/0 on front the 14 and 3/0 on back gives it good motion. Gonna try 4/0 and 2/0 on the 12's.

Got 3 Blackfins.

It was marginal launch conditions, a buddy Josh showed up to launch as well and we talked each other into it. 2 other folks showed up but the surf was rougher than usual and they stayed on the beach.

Video of Josh boating his second Blackfin. Gives an idea of the sea state. After he boated his, we buttoned up, went into thr breakers, bailed out and swam them in.

After we got back in and one group from TN that had just pulled in at daybreak saw our combined 5 and they headed out.
