Heck of a buck, Phil. Congrats to you. Brock said it best, it is not all about inches. That a great buck in any ones book. Hats off to you.
Trophies of age mean a lot to me as well. Good to see you got one of the old deer this year too. Nice work!
Congratulations again Phil! 10 out of 10 guys here would have reached for their bow and began picking which hair to split as soon as they saw that spread.

Congratulations, Phil!!! An amazing buck and more amazing is the fact that you were able to get out and do some hunting. Kids, job, wife and life around all else, must have you in a tail spin. I'm glad you were able to bring such a prize home!

Never bought a tag until soccer and cross country seasons were just about done. That freed up some time. Thanks Daniel. Good to see you tag one with the new bow too!
I believe this to be the same buck back in 2013. I will not rule out the possibility it could be his father.
This is him in 2015. Same property I killed him. No doubt this is the same one. This deer has been big bodied, wide, long main beams, short brow tines, 6-8" g2/g3s since I can remember. Might have been one year he grew a g4 but dropped it later. My son was in the trigger seat on this particular hunt but he never got closer than he was on the video until the sun went down and we had to wait for the deer to filter out. Of course he was at 20yds or less while we were waiting.
Something followed me home. Thanks to Mike at Whitetail Specialties Taxidermy for the third fantastic mount you have done!
There have been 5 deer mounts in our house since Otis has been here. I brought home number 6 today. Our Otis dog is wigging out all the sudden. Watched me put it on the wall. Now is looking up at the walls non-stop. Totally wigging out today. Ugh. Whadda knucklehead.
