We always eat that in the fall at camp, I'd be surprised they would be that big yet. I really dont know when they start growing though. Keep your eye on it.

Watched a video on YouTube and believe this might be the....
it is edible but grows mostly in the summer months vs the HOTW or COTW does. I guess it bruises black in short time so I’m going to go out and cut off a clove and see what it does. I guess it comes from the Pennsylvania area and was named after a fungi dude from around Steeltown.

. Grass is still looking dormant but the azalias and others are starting to bud out. The frogs are just a constant roar at this point. 
Holy chit, I enjoyed the warmth of 40* and sun today lol. Hard to believe there are flowers sprouting just 2hrs south
