Btw, that was just a test hole I dug to see what the ground looked like. It should hold water...I hope.
Put in flags for the shape to get an idea of what it would look like. I’ve got some timbers to fall and id guess it around a 1/4 acre. Ill work on it during the evenings until dark. This has my stress level at max. I hope it all works out. Being away from home for 14 hours a day doesn’t leave a ton of time, so I’ll do my best to make those minutes count.

Needed more fill than he originally thought so we opted to dig a pond in the front yard. Pipe dreams coming together.

He worked by himself today to get a jump on it before the rain.
Not much change. Between breaking the machine and the rain, this weekend was pretty much a wash. Today he should be able to really get some momentum and be rolling right along.
He hasn’t shown up all week but he did drop the mini off today. So I had kids grabbing beers while I was slinging dirt. Little dark now for pics, but this was earlier. Waiting on some dump trucks now to move these dirt piles.
Living the dream with these projects...it’ll all be worth it when it’s done.
Take any pictures for the before and after? That's gonna look great set back in the woods like that!

Good thing we’re in a drought. Better get completed before the next raindrops.
The wife is actually pretty upset about this project. So no before pictures and the after will come after the ponds full
She doesn’t see what I see. She’ll love it though. Grandkids will want to come over to swim and fish!
Nothing goes together better than heavy equipment and alcohol...
