Much worse than initial reports. The giant commercial greenhouse in Wapakoneta is gone. Koneta Rubber damaged. Truck stop heavy damage with trucks tossed around too. Heard the seasonal campground around the corner took a good hit. Haven't seen pics yet. Numerous barns collapsed. Had friends lifting sections of barn and moving cows all night. No cows lost thankfully. Haven't been driving around gawking. The little bit of driving I had to do for work stuff shows plenty of trees down, shingles gone, one trampoline lodged about 20-25' in a tree, and I did see some downed buildings. One building is where I park my truck to hunt. It is a cinder block building and it collapsed. Never would have guessed that one would go down. Nasty stuff. Reports of multiple touch downs.

That is the one @giles. Flattened. That greenhouse encompassed acres of ground. These pics do zero justice to the size of the place. At night when they have the lights on I could see it from my house nine miles away.

View attachment 176108 just drove passed headed to ctown. Flattened. Multiple barn roofs laying in fields along 33. Woods got shredded. Seems like multiple paths. it was loud last night...

It did seem like multiples. I know the one in Wapak didn't turn and go straight north to Breese Road in Shawnee. Almost like there were a bunch of tornadoes or monster that didn't touch down but created a ridiculous vacuum maybe? I'm not expert in this so I'm curious what the findings are.

Guess Round 2 of Mother Nature's hissy fit left me with some work. This fence is 28 years old, so it lived a good life, but rot on the bottom of the posts caught up to it. I knew it was on its last leg after Round 1 and I'd been contemplating adding a 12' double gate so I can drive the truck on this side of the house (despite owning 11 acres, our house is on the original lot, which is only 99' wide and there's only one way to get a truck/trailer to the rest of the property). Thankfully I built fence during my summers off in college. It's one DIY skill that I've achieved "expert" status at over the years and I enjoy it, so it's not the worst thing that could have happened to us.

Right on Jesse. Opportunity to better the fencing situation for you. Good outlook.

My neighbor at our other property text me this morning. Sounds like contractors were cutting up the pine and AEP was putting the power line back up this morning. He must have talked to them. He said I needed to get an electrician to hook back to my building. Guess I need to take a drive over there to see what it looks like. Given the number of people with MUCH bigger challenges, damages, and losses than me. . . I wasn't sweating this damage. Probably cost me a little money. Didn't cost me my house, any buildings, livestock, etc. Just an inconvenience. I am fortunate.

Seeing piles of contracted linesmen today. Convoys. Nice to see for those without power. Appreciated by myself even though we have power. To drop everything, jump in a truck, and head out of town to restore power to others is not your average line of work.

I could have pulled it off 20-30yrs ago. Bit old to start now. It seems similar to snow plowing. Got to be a little sadistic and a little "off" to stay at it. I've seen guys come and go. The ones who have stayed at it 10 years or more. . . .those or my kind of people. 😁

They’re going to find out what their insurance was like…. 😳
Building was empty. Have heard they are only running first shift. A true blessing the building was empty when the tornado hit. I've heard rumors it wasn't growing anything. I can't validate those rumors. If they were true they wouldn't be running any shift. Lol

Agreed though. They are going to find out how good their policy was soon enough. If producing, I would think they would have insurance on the plants along with the building. Time will tell. Clean up alone will be a fortune.
