Anyone up for a boat ride? @Gern186 😂

I'm just west of Ripley and have been out there in big waves. Walleye hit in big waves. Going with the waves works, getting back through them is not anything i ever want to do again. If we would have stalled and got sideways?! We would now be down there with the 50,000 other wrecks out there. I think Erie has more fresh water wrecks than any other fresh water body in the world. The thing is once lake Erie gets to 4 footers it starts sucking the bottom out of the gap. Erie has 3 waves for every wave on Lake Ontario for example. Thus Ontario is more swells Erie hits you bam! bam! bam! like a Hilti concrete hammer...

I’m well aware of Erie waves. Been on it many times in 2-3’ waves in a bass boat.
Back when I was young, dumb and invincible……
Now I’m old and sore…. 🤕

You are braver than me going out in a bass boat. saw a bass tourney get wrecked on Erie. Like 50 boats littering the shore years ago. our local coast guard was very busy that weekend!

My power has been off since 5:17 yesterday. Generator still running, but at least my retarded neighbors' spotlight pointed at my house that you can see from Andromeda galaxy is off for one night out of the last year and a half.

I had a gust of 56 mph, that was windy enough.

I drove into town yesterday as the last line rolled thru around 2:30pm. Coming down 113 I would've bet it was a twister, all the corn residual is either in lake erie or plastered to all the local fences. The fence across from Fin on 250 looks like a goose hunting blind, minus the semi blown over on its side in the ditch just up the road. Boys school lost power with the line, busses had to navigate a closed Rt2, Rt250, and SR 113.
