Nope! Not at all! I feel for yall out there in that high cold windy weather! @Fullbore has only 3 more days to deal with this and I’m pumped for him!

Showing just under 3" on the ground, so we got 5-6" total since most melted early yesterday. Most schools are on a 2hr delay this AM, boys r back to bed.
Fell on my ass and dumped my coffee this morning in the parking lot. I hate ice and I hate snow...that is all...
Hope it doesn't bruise to bad. Life's way of knocking us down a rung or 2 every now and again is brutal in the winter lol.
Hasn't really been cold for a couple of years while we were home. Having heat issues (waiting on parts) while looking ahead had me working on my propane fireplace today. Pretty sure my regulator is junk. New one arrives Tuesday. If that doesn't fix it I will dive deeper next weekend. If shit goes sideways before that I will rob one from the camper. Probably go buy a 100 lb tank or something too. The one I have they won't refill because it's old style and the guy that would fill it is no longer with us. Been a while since I've had to make sure we were prepared for a deep freeze! Yall ready?
Yep. I fixed our gas fire place when we moved in as a primary defense against power outages in cold weather. I'm getting a quote to run gas to my garage and kitchen primarily so I can cook on a gas range, but it's a bonus heat source if needed. Our house is pretty we'll insulated, so I worry less about cold snaps than I do derechos in July, primarily because of my freezers.
That last part is a topic in another thread started today

Have a large Mr buddy heater that I can use to supplement if need as well.
Ours aren’t for the deep freezes that y’all are prone too, ours is for extended power outages from the storms and hurricane aftermaths.

I'm not familiar with this meteorologist so I won't bash. I will say there are some with massive followings who create more panic and hysteria than should be allowed. Calling for inch totals a week out. Even 4-6 days is tough to call. I'm sick of it. Mass hysteria created with events which rarely takes place. One in particular has a cult like following. If you disagree, post skepticism, or God forbid you bash them. . . Their followers pounce like a pack of rabid dogs. I've watched people.get eaten alive. Then I watch the weather unfold and the weather guesser was way off.
That said, I watched a few minutes of a "live" event today. I had to turn it off. The hype was stupid. Stating readings they hadn't seen since the blizzard of 78. These guys weren't even alive then. I give them credit though as they've figured out a way to generate clicks and revenue and don't even have to get it right.

Yup, most weather anchors or meteorologists are climate activists these days pushing the sky is falling narrative.

Started snowing here about 3 hours ago. Calling for 5 to 10 before it is over tomorrow. Coming down pretty good out there right now.
